Jason’s character seemed so perfect in the first part of the story. They made the story more enjoyable as they always saw things from the bright side even when the situation changed for the worse. I particularly liked Sloan’s best friend, Kristen, with her vivacious nature and her husband, Josh. All the characters were well developed and the story was believable. This was such a feel good read right from the beginning and I loved both protagonists. The narrators were off the chart and I am not sure I would have enjoyed it as much if I was reading the book. and I found myself smiling almost all through the story.
I listened to this book on my Audible App. With Sloan still attached to her feelings for Brandon and Jason’s commitment to his career which will have him on a world tour for over one year, the relationship seems doomed from the start but can love conquer it all? Jason, a musician on the rise with a new record deal and a bright career ahead of him falls for Sloan even before they meet and a relationship ensues.
She takes the dog home while trying to contact the owner using the information on the dog’s collar and this is how she meets Jason. On the second anniversary of the accident that eventually took his life, she is on her way to his grave side when a dog jumps through the sun-roof of her car. Sloan Monroe is still grieving the loss of her fiancé, Brandon who passed on two years ago. A typical example of what I would call my ideal type of romance novel. This book has been on my TBR for a few weeks and I have been looking forward to reading it after browsing through so many great reviews on Goodreads and Bookstagram.
